All merchants are required to download the September 2009 mandatory security upgrade (version 7.1). If your currently installed version is 6.2.13 or 7.0.9, you may download and install version 7.1. Please take the time to read the system requirements prior to installing the upgrade. If your currently installed version is 6.2.11 or lower you will need to upgrade to 6.2.13 or 7.0.9 prior to downloading the mandatory security upgrade (7.1).

> Please shut down the Vital Application Console prior to installing any POS-partner upgrades. Prior to installation of this upgrade, it is highly recommended that a full backup of the database is performed.

> Click on the Upgrade link below to begin the download of the upgrade in Self-Extracting ZIP format (.EXE). The download is 36 MB in size. Once complete, unzip the file and run the Upgrade (.EXE) file to begin installation.

Upon completing the installation, the version number on POS-partner will reflect 7.1
