Hub Solutions

In the world of Point-of-Sale (POS), a Hub is the primary computer system capable of consolidating data from two or more Point-of-Sale devices. It is most effective when lower cost Point-of-Sale terminals - such as the VeriFone Tranz 380 or Hypercom T7P - are used in multiple locations to extend your business capabilities and improve effectiveness without significantly increasing the total cost of ownership.

A Hub provides several benefits, such as centralized reporting, accounting, and transaction management while leveraging existing infrastructure. With its built-in Hub and Local Area Network (LAN) capabilities, POS-partner is designed to grow with you as your business needs change.

How does a HUB work?

A Hub, using standard telephone lines, either requests or receives information from remote Point-of-Sale devices by dialing into the device and collecting the transaction data or whenever the device makes a call to the PC. Any location with more than two POS devices and phone connections can benefit with a POS-partner Hub setup.

How could I benefit by using a HUB?

You can benefit from this technology when you have mixed platforms and locations and you want to reduce ownership costs while maximizing business potential. In addition, the ability to acquire data and manage client and customer information will benefit even further.

What are the advantages of using a
HUB solution?

POS-partner is different that most other PC-based Hub-type software because it not only supports inbound uploading of information from remote sites; it also supports outbound polling of the POS devices. Plus, by combining the features of the POS-partner Task Manager, Automated Device Polling, and Automatic Settlement Features in POS-partner , the entire process can be automated in a totally hands-free operation.

Once in the POS-partner Data Store, you can verify and audit transaction information, create reports, and export transactions to accounting systems.

How many POS devices (terminals) can a
POS-partner HUB support?

POS-partner was designed to support an unlimited number of POS devices thanks to the unique, multi-threaded, service-oriented application design. By adding either additional modems on the Hub, a modem on another Workstation connected to the POS-partner LAN, or a modem pool on the Hub, additional capacity can be added right away, giving more power to your business.
